Extended boolean AND combinations

The advanced search page has four blocks, each of them a strengthened version of simple search. One block might specify an exact phrase, another a choice any of the words within a collection of synonyms, a third block in which a request for all of the words tightens the search further. Example:

The extended boolean AND is invoked between any two blocks by selecting the must include option in the arrow / drop-down box between the blocks. This option reduces the number of findings. The extended boolean AND combination is the most common choice in advanced searches. Each search result from the above specification would contain the exact phrase AND at least one of the variations of the word sin AND all three of the words in the third group.

Why another search engine? Here is why.
